Under the Tree is a novel written for those who enjoy philosophy and religion in a dramatic format. Writing with the colors of Buddhist philosophy, the author presents Eastern concepts of the afterlife in an engaging drama that adds clarity to the discussion of life after death.

Spout was commissioned to design the book cover and website for the Kindle edition of the novel.

Book Cover Design & Illustration

The front cover was designed to evoke spirituality in a minimalistic style. The cover illustration was influenced by Buddhist art and symbols. The leaves reference the Bodhi tree, a sacred Fig tree, under which Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism, is said to have achieved enlightenment, or Bodhi.

Spout was commissioned to re-design the website to showcase and promote the new Kindle edition of Under the Tree.

The site features essays and resources on philosophy that provides visitors with information on the book’s topics. The site design and supporting articles aid in guiding visitors to order the book.
